Our Story, is now your Story.

Ōpalo was born from a personal experience of its founder. After facing health problems, he saw first-hand what advanced technology and well-applied protocols can do. That kind of care was not available in the country at the time, so he made it his mission to create a place that brought technology, therapies and high-level approaches together under one roof.

His search for health and survival turned into a new way of understanding the human body: not just being well as a baseline, but becoming your best version inside and out. An approach that brings together the scientific and the aesthetic, based on science and backed by results and scientific evidence.

“When you see that it works, you cannot go back to the way things were.”

Work from the inside to optimize how your body functions. Through supplementation, therapies and personalized protocols, imbalances are corrected to improve your energy, metabolism, inflammation and general wellbeing.

Here, we focus on addressing your symptoms at their root cause.

More energy, better metabolism, and less inflammation. Inside Health improves how your body functions from within, so you feel better, have greater clarity, and enjoy more stable well-being every day.

The Method for a Better You

The Ōpalo Method

How the method works

What is The Ōpalo Method?

It is the methodology we work with, and there is one for the whole center. We split whole-body wellness into five pillars: Inside Health, Regenerative Life, Beauty Lab, Human Performance and Sensory Reset. Whichever one you come in through, the order is the same: consultation, measurement, protocol and follow-up.

What are the five pillars of the method?

The five pillars of The Ōpalo Method are: Inside Health (functional wellness), Regenerative Life (regeneration and longevity), Beauty Lab (skin and beauty), Human Performance (strength and movement) and Sensory Reset (sensory and mindfulness). Each one groups its own protocols and all of them can be combined.

What happens on the first visit?

The first visit to Ōpalo is a consultation. We talk through your objective, measurements are taken and your baseline is recorded. With that information, the team designs your protocol: which pillar, which sessions and with what follow-up. No session starts without that step.

What is measured at Ōpalo before starting?

Before any protocol starts, measurements are taken at Ōpalo and a baseline is recorded: the state of the body at that moment, according to each person's objective. Those same measurements are repeated during the protocol to compare against your own numbers.

A baseline is the record of the starting point: the measurements taken at the first consultation, before any session. It exists so progress is compared against your own body and not against an average. Without a baseline there is no honest way to talk about results.

How do you follow up on results?

Follow-up at Ōpalo repeats the baseline measurements throughout the protocol. The comparison is always against your own earlier numbers, so the result is visible and measurable, not a feeling.

How long does it take to see results?

The time depends on the protocol and on each person's starting point: some processes build up session by session and others are noticed sooner. What stays constant is the measurement — at every stage you can see where you are against your baseline, without depending on perception.

Safety

Before a protocol is offered

Are there conditions that would keep me from taking a session?

There are conditions that can contraindicate specific sessions. That is why every visit starts with a consultation: your situation is reviewed there and the team defines which protocols are right for you and which are not. At Ōpalo, a protocol that does not fit is not offered.

Is it possible during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

It depends on the protocol. During pregnancy or breastfeeding there are sessions that are best postponed and others that can be taken. Mention it when you book, and at the consultation the team defines what is right for your stage.

Do the sessions need recovery time?

Ōpalo's protocols are non-invasive and generally require no recovery time: you can carry on with your day after the session. Any particular instruction is explained to you at the consultation, before starting.

Team

Who is behind it

Who leads Ōpalo's protocols?

Ōpalo's protocols are led by Dr. Sara Díaz, Director of Protocols at Ōpalo Wellness Center in Mérida, Yucatán, professional license 11287761.

She is responsible for the evidence behind every protocol in the center: she defines which technologies come in, how they are applied, what is measured and how each person is followed up.

Is Ōpalo's team certified?

Ōpalo's team is certified in every technology it operates, with specific training for each device. Certification is not an extra: it is the condition for a protocol to exist inside the center.

Who founded Ōpalo?

Ōpalo was founded by Marco Barrera, who chose Mérida, Yucatán, to open the first Scientific Wellness center in the Yucatán Peninsula. The protocols are led by Dr. Sara Díaz, professional license 11287761.

Why is it called Ōpalo?

The opal is a stone that holds every color in a single structure. That is how the center works: five distinct pillars — from functional wellness to sensory rest — brought together in one method for the whole body.
